PHILADELPHIA- In their home opener on Geasey Field, Temple defeated Penn 4-2. The Owls dominated the Quakers for their second win of the season.

"It's nice to be playing on our home field again," said head coach Amanda Janney. "Our attack is really maturing and it's nice to see that we have a wide range of players scoring. Our team defense is still working out some kinks, but overall we are playing good team hockey. We are proud that our team is improving with each game we play."

Junior Jamie Adams put Temple on the scoreboard with an assist from Alli Lokey seven minutes into the first half. Ten minutes later Kasey Ruth tallied the Owls second goal with an assist from Leanne Vogelsong. The half ended with Temple leading Penn 2-0. Throughout the first half the Owls dominated play by keeping the ball in the Quakers end and by leading Penn in penalty corners 7-3.
