ALBANY, NY- Despite last minute efforts to get back into the game, Temple field hockey lost to Albany, 2-1.

Albany's Michele Polizois scored both goals for the Great Danes. Her first goal was scored off a penalty stroke at the 14:09 minute mark in the first half. Polizois next found the cage in the second half at the 51:41 mark off a penalty corner with assists going to Jess Lindsey and Anouk Vandenberg. With less than three minutes left in the contest senior Alli Lokey netted Temple's only goal off a penalty corner. The assists were credited to Leanne Vogelsong and Charise Young. Despite the loss, Goalie Erin Hanshue made five saves for the Owls.

Temple's next contest will be on the road on September 9 against 20th-ranked Syracuse.
