Dionte Christmas Named NABC Second Team All-District

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University junior guard Dionte Christmas has been named to the 2008 NABC Second Team All-District 3 squad. It is the second straight season that Christmas has earned NABC second team all-district honors.
Christmas, a two-time Atlantic 10 Conference and Big 5 Player of the Week honoree, ranks second in the A-10 with a 19.8 scoring average. The 6-5 guard also ranks among the conference leaders in three-pointers made (3rd, 3.21 pg.), free throw percentage (9th, .779) and field goal percentage (11th, .440).
Christmas has scored 20 or more points 15 times and 30 or more points twice. He also has led the Owls in scoring in 20 of 28 games, and has tallied double figures in every game.
Temple (16-12, 9-5) hosts Duquesne (16-11, 6-8) in its final regular season home game Wednesday at the Liacouras Center (7:00 p.m./Comcast Sportsnet/1210 AM WPHT).
