Easton, PA  - Sophomore Stephanie McGinty netted her second goal of the season, but it was not enough as the Owls fell victim to a high-powered Lafayette offense, falling to the Leopards 3-1 on Friday evening.

Junior Mandi Ruth was credited with the assist for McGinty's goal off a penalty corner in the 32nd minute of play, but it was the only time the Cherry and White would find the back of the net.

Senior Erin Hanshue added six saves in goal for the Cherry and White while facing 21 shots, including 14 in the second half.

Kelly Hilovsky opened up the scoring for the Lepaords with an unassisted goal in the third minute of play. Then in the final two minutes of the first half, Cara Lyons scored off a deflection to make it 2-0 for the Leopards.

With the score at 2-1 in the second half, Lafayette's Maggie Condor added an unassisted to bring the game to the final score of 3-1.

The Owls will look to rebound on Sunday, when they conclude a five-game road swing with a trip to Rutgers. Play is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
