PHILADELPHIA - Dionte Christmas will become the first Temple University student-athlete immortalized with his own bobblehead Sunday as the first 3,000 fans ages 14 and over entering the Liacouras Center for the Owls' game against St. Bonaventure (2:00 p.m.) will receive the figurine sponsored by the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union. The promotion is part of the season long All-America campaign, "Five Months of Christmas", highlighting the two-time defending Atlantic 10 Conference scoring champion. Temple will also celebrate Hooter the Owl's Birthday that day and other local area mascots will be in attendance to celebrate the event.

"This is truly an honor when you think of all of the great players to play before me," said Christmas, who leads the Atlantic 10 Conference in scoring with a 19.3 average.

The Philadelphia native has scored 1,855 points, ranking fifth on the school's all-time scoring list. He is on pace to become the fourth player in Temple history to score 2,000 points, joining Mark Macon (2,609, 1987-90), Lynn Greer (2,099, 1997-02) and David Hawkins (2,077, 2000-04). He owns the Owls' single season record for three-pointers made (104, 2007-08) and his career total of 287 is 18 shy of Greer's all-time record of 305.

This season, the 6-5 guard has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Week three times and Big 5 Player of the Week four times, bringing his career total to 10 for each league. One of 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior Class Award, Christmas is also vying to become the first player in A-10 history to lead the conference in scoring in three consecutive seasons.

The Temple co-captain has scored 30 or more points 10 times with a career-high 37 points in last year's win over Duquesne (3/5/08). He has topped 30 points twice this season with a season-high 35 coming in the Owls' win over then #8/8 Tennessee (12/13/08). He has eclipsed the 20-point mark 47 times in his brilliant career, including 11 times this season.

The Owls (15-9, 7-3 in the A-10) host Fordham Wednesday (7:00 p.m.) before Sunday's game against St. Bonaventure.
