Men's Basketball Announces TV Schedule

Owls to make 11 appearances, five nationally
PHILADELPHIA – The two-time defending Atlantic 10 Conference champion Temple University men's basketball team will be televised 11 times during the 2009-10 season with five contests being aired nationally.
Temple will open its television slate in ESPN's second annual College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon – consecutive live college basketball games to celebrate the start of the season – against Georgetown on November 17 at 4:00 p.m. The Owls-Hoyas game will be one of 12 live contests in 24 consecutive hours on ESPN.
The Owls remaining national television appearances include home games against 2009 Final Four participant Villanova (CBS College Sports, Dec. 13), 2008 National Champion and preseason #1 pick Kansas (ESPN2, Jan. 2) and Big 5 and Atlantic 10 rival La Salle (ESPN2, Jan, 30). The Owls game at Richmond on February 6 will be televised on ESPNU.
Temple will have six regional telecasts on its 2009-10 schedule. They include home games against Saint Joseph's (Jan. 6), Xavier (Jan. 20), Rhode Island (Feb. 13) and Dayton (Feb.24). Two Owl road games – Charlotte (Jan. 27) and Saint Joseph's (Feb. 20) – will also be televised regionally.
Temple also expects to have other games shown locally which will be released at a later date.
