Temple Men's Basketball Climbs In National Polls

Owls move to #16 in AP and #17 in ESPN/USA Today polls

PHILADELPHIA - With wins over Penn and UMass last week, Temple climbed in both national polls, moving three spots to #16 in the Associated Press poll and four slots to #17 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll in the most recent polls released on January 18.

The Owls, 15-3, 3-0 in Atlantic 10 Conference play, have now won four straight and 11 of their last 12 games. This week marks the fifth straight week that Temple has appeared in the national rankings, and its first ranking since November 2001,

Temple has now been ranked in the AP poll 136 weeks in the program's history, including #1 the final six weeks of the 1987-88 season.

The Owls host Xavier (12-5, 4-0) Wednesday night (7:00 p.m./The Comcast Network) in a battle of the only remaining A-10 unbeaten teams
