Nationally-ranked men’s basketball team to host 14 games at the Liacouras Center
PHILADELPHIA – Individual game tickets for the 2010-11 Temple University men's and women's basketball teams go on sale Wednesday, October 20 at 10:00 a.m. at the Liacouras Center Box Office. Individual game tickets will also be available for purchase online at www.OwlsTix.com or by calling 1-800-298-4200. Times for the men's and women's basketball games have also been released and are available on www.owlsports.com.
Coming off its third straight Atlantic 10 Conference championship season, the Temple men's team will host 14 games at the Liacouras Center with Big East power Georgetown highlighting the home slate. Another Big East foe, Seton Hall, serves as the home opener for fifth-year head coach Fran Dunphy's Owls on November 12. That will also be the first of three doubleheaders with the Temple women's team, under the direction of third-year head coach Tonya Cardoza.
The men's team will open the home portion of its A-10 schedule against Saint Louis on January 9 and conclude it with a game against city-rival La Salle on March 5.
The women's team, which has advanced to the NCAA Tournament the past seven seasons, opens its season at the Liacouras Center against Big 10 power Ohio State on November 12. It is one of 13 home games for the Owls, that also includes a visit from Big East power Rutgers on December 1.
Single-game tickets for Temple men's basketball games range from $12-35 while special premium prices ($25-35) will be in place for the Georgetown game. Tickets for Temple women basketball games are $7 per ticket.
