Men's Basketball Moves Up in Both Major Polls

Owls now #21 in AP and #20 in ESPN/USA Today poll

PHILADELPHIA  – With its 2-0 start, the Temple men's basketball team moved up one spot in the Associated Press poll to #21 and two spots in the ESPN/USA Today poll to #20 in the latest rankings released Monday. The Owls (2-0), who are off until Thanksgiving when they take on California in the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, opened the season among the nation's Top 25 for the first time since the 2001-02 season.

Temple defeated Seton Hall, 62-56, in its season-opener Friday evening with junior guard Ramone Moore leading the squad with 14 points. Five Owls tallied double-figures in a lopsided 82-49 victory over Toledo on Sunday afternoon.
