Owls featured in national magazine that hits newsstands Wednesday
PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's basketball is ranked #20 in the nation by Sports Illustrated in the national magazine's college basketball issue that hits newsstands on November 17. Two of Temple's games – Dec. 9 vs. Georgetown and Dec. 30 at Villanova – are part of Sports Illustrated's “A Sweet 16 of Key Games” for the season.
Temple, which moved up to #21/20 in the major polls on Monday, is currently off to a 2-0 start with wins over Seton Hall (62-56) and Toledo (82-49) this weekend. The Owls are in the midst of an 11-day break before taking the court at the Milk House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla. against California (9:00 p.m./ESPN2) on Thanksgiving in a first round game of the Old Spice Classic.
