PHILADELPHIA - The #22/22 Temple University men's basketball team visited AstraZeneca Hope Lodge on Tuesday evening, November 2. The Owls served and ate dinner with the cancer patients living at the lodge. The team visit, which also included autographs, free tee-shirts and pictures, lasted approximately three hours.
The AstraZeneca Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society offers lodging at no cost for cancer patients being treated in the Philadelphia area. Patients live with other people going through similar experiences, and are supported by caring staff and volunteers.
