Ramone Moore Named Big 5 Co-Player of the Week

Junior guard averaged 20 points in two Owl wins

PHILADELPHIA  – Temple junior guard Ramone Moore has been named Philadelphia Big 5 co-Player of the Week for the week ending December 12.  Moore, who earns his second career weekly Big 5 honor, shared the honor with Corey Stokes of Villanova.

Moore, who leads the Owls in scoring at 14.0 ppg., averaged 20 points and 3.5 rebounds in helping the Cherry and White to a 2-0 week.  The Philadelphia native and Southern High product also connected on 61.5 percent (16-26) from field, and made all four of his three-pointers. 

In Temple's 68-65 win over #9/10 Georgetown (12/19), Moore exploded for a career-high 30 points, making 12 of 18 field goal attempts.  He followed that with 10 points in 26 minutes in an 82-47 blowout of Akron (12/12).

The Owls (7-2) are off for final examinations before hosting Northern Illinois Saturday (2:00 p.m./1340 AM WHAT/OwlAccess).
