Owls placed fourth in strong heat on Saturday
SAN DIEGO, CA - The Temple men's crew team travelled its Varsity 8 to Mission Bay this weekend for the 37 renewal of the San Diego Crew Classic. The Owls placed fourth in its Men's Collegiate Varsity Invitational heat Saturday before capturing the Petite Finals on Sunday.
The Owls boat, who defeated host UCSD by 4.6 seconds Sunday, was comprised of Don Norris (cox), Pat Curran (stroke), Nenad Ninkovic (7-seat), Jason Cartwright (6-seat), Brendan Cunningham (5-seat), Mike Mirabella (4-seat), Scott Waters (3-seat), Tom Masterson (2-seat) and John Masterson (bow).
Temple next takes to the water this Saturday when its hosts the Murphy Cup on the Schuylkill River.
