Fran Dunphy To Serve As Analyst On State Farm March Madness Coaches Show

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University head coach Fran Dunphy will serve as one of two analysts on the State Farm March Madness Coaches Show. The hour-long show, which is hosted by Ron Thulin and co-hosted by Miles Simon, was taped on Monday afternoon. It will begin airing tonite on various FoxSports networks and Comcast sports channels around the country. It will be carried by Comcast SportsNet on Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Virginia Tech head coach Seth Greenberg is the other analyst.
A finalist for the 2010 Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Award, Dunphy earned his first career conference Coach of the Year honor when he was tabbed as the 2010 Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year. In his fourth year at the TU helm, he guided the Owls to their third straight A-10 Tournament title and first A-10 regular season championship since 2002.
Dunphy led Temple to a 29-6 overall mark, the third most wins in school history, and its first national ranking since 2001. Picked tied for fifth in the preseason A-10 poll, the Owls were ranked in the Top 25 in both polls during the final 12 weeks of the season. The #12 final ranking in the Associated Press poll tied for the fifth highest in program history.
