A finalist for the 2010 Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Award, Dunphy earned his first career conference Coach of the Year honor when he was tabbed as the 2010 Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year. Dunphy led Temple to a 29-6 overall mark, the third most wins in school history, and its first national ranking since 2001. Picked tied for fifth in the preseason A-10 poll, the Owls were ranked in the Top 25 in both polls during the final 12 weeks of the season. The #12 final ranking in the Associated Press poll tied for the fifth highest in program history.
