Craig Williams Has Foot Surgery

Senior forward likely to miss first month of season
PHILADELPHIA – Temple senior forward Craig Williams had surgery at Temple Hospital on Thursday, September 2 to repair a fracture of the fifth metatarsal of his right foot. Williams, who suffered the injury during the summer in his homeland, the Virgin Islands, is expected to need two to three months to fully recover.
As a junior in 2009-10, Williams played in 28 games, starting six times, and averaged 3.8 points and 1.8 rebounds and 11.9 minutes per contest. He made 29 three-pointers (89 attempts, .326) to rank third on the team in that category.
The three-time defending Atlantic 10 Conference champion Temple Owls open the 2010-11 season on Friday, November 12 at the Liacouras Center against Seton Hall.
