Junior guard day-to-day with a knee injury
PHILADELPHIA – Temple University junior point guard Juan Fernandez suffered a bone bruise to his left knee during practice on Friday, January 7 and missed today's game against Saint Louis. Fernandez is being treated by Temple University team physician Dr. Ray Moyer. His status is uncertain for the team's next game, Wednesday, January 12 against St. Bonaventure (7:30 p.m.).
Fernandez, a preseason second team all-Atlantic 10 Conference selection, has started all 13 games for the Owls (10-3, 1-0) this season. He leads the team in minutes played (32.8 mpg.), assists (51) and three-point baskets (16) while ranking second in steals (15) and third in scoring (11.0 ppg.).
