PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's basketball team had a scary night after practice Tuesday. Through the efforts of graduate assistant managers Dutch Gaitley and Tyler Laurie, the Owls connected with the nearby Fairmount Boys and Girls club and went to Eastern State Penitentiary's popular "Terror Behind the Walls" show.

Through the efforts of graduate assistant managers Dutch Gaitley and Tyler Laurie, the Owls connected with the nearby Fairmount Boys and Girls club and went to Eastern State Penitentiary's popular "Terror Behind the Walls" show.
The kids had a good time and the players had a good time," said Temple head coach Fran Dunphy. "This is a nice way to give back to the community."
The children and players broke into small groups for the 45-minute tour, and it took no time at all before the players and children were holding hands. Under the Owls' protection, everyone made it through the haunted prison unscathed and the cries of terror turned to smiles of joy upon completion of the journey.
