PHILADELPHIA – Temple University men's basketball coach Fran Dunphy is one of 29 celebrities participating in the 2nd Annual "Dining With The Stars" Online Auction. Proceeds from the Auction, with bidding running from October 20-27, benefits The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.
The auction allows people to bid for celebrity dinners for up to 10 people with the meals being provided by one of the area's most celebrated restaurants or caterers. Coach Dunphy's dinner is set for Bistrot La Minette, an authentic French bistrot right in the heart of Queen Village.
Among the other stars donating their time for the good cause are Philadelphia Phillies General Manager Ruben Amaro at Fish and Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver Jeremy Maclin at Union Trust Steakhouse. Visit www.philarmh.org/dwts for a complete list of the participating celebrities and restaurants.
Bidding closes at 10pm on October 27, 2011, and the winning bidder will have between November 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012 to schedule his/her meal at a mutually agreeable time with the selected celebrity. This event is made possible through the generous support of the Philadelphia community joining together to benefit the families served by Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House and we thank the participating celebrities for donating their time and the restaurants and caterers for donating the meals. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.
