Owls lift spirts of cancer patients for second straight year

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University men's basketball team visited AstraZeneca Hope Lodge for the second straight year on Thursday evening, November 10. The Owls served and ate dinner with the cancer patients and their guests staying at the lodge. The team visit, which also included playing games and giveaways, lasted approximately two hours.

The AstraZeneca Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society offers lodging at no cost for cancer patients being treated in the Philadelphia area. Patients live with other people going through similar experiences, and are supported by caring staff and volunteers.
