PHILADELPHIA  – The three-time defending Atlantic 10 Conference champion Temple Owls are back in both major college basketball polls with the release of the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Top 25 rankings today. Temple is ranked #23 in the Associated Press poll, moving up one spot from last week, and is #25 in the ESPN/USA Today poll. The Owls had been previously ranked in both polls the week of January 11-17, placing #19 in the AP poll and #23 in the ESPN/USA Today poll.

Temple had a streak of 16 straight weeks in the polls end following two losses in the Old Spice Classic held in Orlando, Fla. Thanksgiving weekend. The Owls rejoined the Associated Press poll at #25 on December 27, but dropped out after their narrow loss (78-74) at #7/7 Villanova on Dec. 30

The Owls (19-5, 9-2 in Atlantic 10), winners of six straight, put their 19-game home win streak on the line when they next host Richmond (20-6, 9-2) in a key A-10 battle Thursday at 7:00 p.m (CBS College Sports/1340 AM WHAT).
