Softball Opens Home Schedule with Doubleheader Tuesday Against Delaware

Games originally scheduled for Wednesday moved up a day
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Temple softball home-opening doubleheader against Delaware, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 16 at 3 p.m. at Ambler Field, has been moved up a day to Tuesday, March 15, with the same start time, officials announced today. With rain in the forecast for Wednesday, the teams agreed to move the games up a day.
TU carries an 8-10 record into the twinbill, coming off of a 5-3 mark at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla., this past week. Temple posted a 10-10 record at Ambler last season.
Delaware is 6-10 overall this season. The Blue Hens were 8-10-1 a year ago away from home.
The Owls are led by the offense of freshman Stephanie Pasquale with a .383 batting average, including 10 runs batted in, three doubles and a homer. Also having a solid campaign so far is junior Christina Sykora. The utility player is batting .357 with one double, one triple and one homerun.
Senior Kristen Marris has seen the most time on the mound for the Cherry and White, going 3-5 with a team-best 3.16 ERA in 48.2 innings of work. Freshman Brooklin White has also seen time on the hill in seven games, posting a 4-3 record with a 5.65 ERA through 34.2 innings pitched.
