Men's Track & Field Wraps Up Competition At IC4A Championships

Owls place 20th as a team with 20 points
PRINCETON, N.J. - The Temple men's track & field team wrapped up competition at the IC4A Championships on Sunday afternoon, placing 20th as a team with 20 points. Highlighting action for the Owls was a seventh place finish in the 200m dash by senior Emmanual Freeland, and a 12th place finish in javelin by senior Chris Durante.
Durante took 12th in the javelin with a toss of 58.50m. Freshman Gabe Pickett, the reigning Atlantic 10 Outdoor Rookie of the Year, placed 19th in the triple jump with a mark of 14.21m.
The 4x100m relay team, made up of senior Miles Dryden, sophomore Dylan Pensyl, freshman Alex McGee and senior Emmanual Freeland, placed eighth in the finals with a time of 41.83. Freeland cruised to a sixth place finish in the 100m dash finals with a time of 10.87, and a finished seventh in the 200m dash finals with a mark of 21.77.
In the 110m hurdles, freshman Josh McFrazier placed 22nd with a time of 14.88. McGee also placed 27th in the 400m dash with a time of 50.01. In the 4x800m relay finals, senior Aaron Taylor, freshman Will Kellar, junior Travis Mahoney and senior Lou Parisi clocked in at 7:27.62 to finish fifth and break the school record in the event.
