PHILADELPHIA – Just days after moving up in the national polls, the No. 7 Temple women's fencing team hosts the annual Temple Invitational in McGonigle Hall on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The Owls will have their work cut-out for themselves, as they will be contending with No. 2 Penn State, No. 3 Princeton, No. 5 St. John's and No. 11 Duke over the course of the day. The meet marks the final regular season meet for Temple, as well as the final home meet ever for its four seniors: Danielle Jones, Krystal Jones, Alyssa Lomuscio and Kamali Thompson.

“Senior day always brings a lot of mixed feelings,” head coach Nikki Franke said. “I always know I will be very proud of them. While I'll miss their contributions, I'm sad to see them go. I look forward to seeing them fence their very best in our final upcoming meets.”
Prior to the meet, the Temple Athletic Department will honor the program's four seniors and all senior fencers from the visiting squads in a special ceremony that will take place prior to the meet at 9:45 a.m.
Temple will also welcome men's squads: No. 2 Penn State, No. 3 St. John's, No. 4 Princeton, No. 7 Penn and No. 8 Duke
