Men's T&F Has Solid Performances At Larry Ellis and Widener Invites

PRINCETON, N.J. – Saturday was a jam-packed day for Temple Men's Track and Field, as the squad was split, sending one group to the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University, while the throwers and the rest of the team went to the Widener Invitational.
Sophomore Joshua McFrazier had an outstanding performance in the 110 meter hurdles, as he took the top finish time of 14.36. Senior Tim Malloy also took part in the event, as he placed 13th with his time of 15.10.
Over at Widener, Temple had three individuals place exceptionally impressive results, as freshman Matt Kacyon claimed first place in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:25.77.
Brian Littlepage's mark of 159'8” in the discus throw was worth first place, earning him the event title at Widener, while Carlton Stafford landed a first place mark of 45”10.75” in the triple jump.
Littlepage also competed in the hammer throw and the shot put , where he pulled out a fourth place and fifth place finish, respectively. Ryan Maccie led the Owls in the shot put with his mark of 13.11, which was a season best for him, earning himself fifth place overall in the event.
Back at Princeton, Darryl McDuffie landed a mark of 6'4.75” for fourth place in the high jump while Derek Holland pulled out a fifth place landing mark of 48'3.50”.
In the dashes, Damian Myers finished the 200 meter edition in an eighth place time of 21.84, while Alex McGee crossed the finish line after 21.98 for 14th place. Alan Harding placed 13th in the 400 meter dash, running it in a time of 48.60. Lionel Wilson placed second in the 400 meter dash held at Widener, having a time of 48.53 before taking second place in the 200 meter dash, as well.
Tyreece Clayton earned a ninth place time (11.44) in the 100 meter dash, ahead of Kaseem Clark in 12th with his time of 11.63
Freshman Cullen Davis earned a fifth place time of 1:54.31 in the 800 meter run, while William Montgomery finished just seconds behind him for 10th place overall with a time of 1:57.70.
In a collective event, Lionel Wilson, Dylan Pensyl, Alex McGee, Myers teamed up to form the 'A' squad in the 4x100 relay, where they pulled out an eighth place time of 42.12
From here, the Owls set their sights on their final meet of the regular outdoor season, as they will compete at the Penn Relays Friday through Sunday.
