Men's Basketball Hosts Texas on Saturday at Noon at the Wells Fargo Center; Owls Riding Three-Game Win Streak

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's basketball takes a three-game win streak into its next game, a noon contest against Texas at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday, Dec. 7. ESPNU will carry the game between the Owls (4-3) and the Longhorns (7-1).

• Temple and Texas will be meeting for the sixth time, with the Longhorns winning the most recent meeting on their home court in 2011, 77-65.
• The last time the two teams met at a neutral site was at the Superdome in New Orleans in 2001 for the NCAA First Round. Temple won that contest, 79-65, and went on to advance to the Elite Eight.
• The Owls have won three straight games, snapping their first three-game losing streak since Dec. 22-29, 2008.
• Anthony Lee notched his fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds in the most recent win vs. Saint Joseph's, scoring seven of those points in the final 2:09 to seal the victory.
• Will Cummings and Dalton Pepper, Temple's two scoring leaders, each put up a team-best 16 points against Saint Joseph's.
• Senior Dalton Pepper, an all-tourney selection at the Charleston Classic, set new career highs in two straight games at that tournament, scoring 22 points in the win over Georgia before tallying a career-high 24 points in the win over UAB.
• Will Cummings, who scored 22 points in the 72-58 first-round loss to Clemson, hit the game-winning three-pointer with 7 seconds left to lift TU to its second win of the season against Georgia.
• Quenton DeCosey and Cummings are the only two Temple players to score in double figures in all seven games this season.
• Texas started the season 4-0 before dropping its first game (86-82 to BYU), but the Longhorns have now won three straight.
• The Longhorns have out-rebounded seven of the eight teams they have faced, with a rebounding margin of +9.9.
• Six Texas players average between seven and 13 points per game, led by junior forward Jonathan Holmes with 12.7 ppg.
• Junior Jaylen Bond played for two seasons at Texas before transferring to Temple this season, and will be eligible in 2014-15 due to NCAA transfer rules.
