Khalif Wyatt Named Philadelphia Big 5 co-Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Temple University senior guard Khalif Wyatt has been named Philadelphia Big 5 co-Player of the Week, for the week ending February 17. The Norristown, Pa. native (Norristown HS) shares the honor with La Salle senior guard Ramon Galloway.

Wyatt, the Atlantic 10 Conference's leading scorer (19.8 ppg.), averaged 29.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week for the Owls. He scored a career-high 35 points in an 84-83 loss to Duquesne on February 14 while making 15-of-15 from the foul line. In an 83-82 win at UMass Saturday, he scored a game-high 24 points, hitting six-of-11 from three-point range, and dished three assists, including one to Scootie Randall for the deciding three-pointer.

For the year, Wyatt has been game-high scorer 13 times and has been red-hot of late, averaging 25.2 points over last 11 outings.

Temple (17-8, 6-5 A10) hosts La Salle (18-6, 8-3 A10) Thursday at the Liacouras Center (7:00 pm/CBS Sports Network/1210 AM WPHT).
