BOSTON, Mass.— Temple's qualifying members for the ECAC Championship took part in the first day of completion held at Boston University on Saturday.
Looking to position herself for as an NCAA qualifier, sophomore Margo Britton took sixth place in her flight of the weight throw, which ranked her 23rd overall with her throw of 15.48m.
Senior Tonney Smith had her second-best run of the year in the 800 meter event, finishing in 2:13.65.
Sophomore Michelle Davis-Timothy finished fifth in her heat and in 30th overall in the 400m race (57.16).
Britton, the Atlantic 10 Conference Shot Put Champion, will compete for the ECAC shot put title on Sunday when the Owls resume competition at the ECAC Championships.
