CHESTER, Pa. – Competition picked back up at the Widener Invitational on Saturday. In what was the last tune-up for next week's Penn Relays, the Temple women's track and field put forth a strong showing, as seniors Isatta Kenneh and Jade Wilson claimed event titles.

Kenneh came away as the top finisher in both the 100 meter (12.06) and 200 meter (24.72) dashes and Wilson took first place in the 400 meter hurdles (1:02.55).

Temple was well represented in all three events where it had a top finisher. Kenneh's first place time of 12.06 in the 100 meter dash was followed up by Dia Dorsey in third (12.73) and freshman Courtney Mitchell in fourth (12.93), while Gennie Depass finished as the runner-up in the 200 meter dash (25.61) to Kenneh (24.72). Dorsey's time was ranked fifth-best (26.29).

Following Wilson, Tessa West placed second in the 400 meter hurdles with her time of 1:03.34. Kaitlyn McSurdy claimed fifth, as she crossed the finish line in 1:05.49.

In the 400 meter dash, Tonney Smith had a solid finish, taking second place with a time of 57.93.

Freshman Alexis Kennedy placed as the runner-up for the hammer throw title with her mark of 38.93 meters.

Coming off their strong finish times in Friday's 5K run, junior Anna Pavone (4:46.31) and sophomore Jenna Dubrow (4:46.93) came third and fourth, respectively, in the 1500 meter run.

Next up for Temple is the 119th Penn Relays at Franklin Field on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. Competition opens on Thursday.
