Men's Basketball To Host Kent State in ESPN Tip-Off Marathon

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's basketball team will host Kent State at 7:00 PM on ESPNU on Monday, November 11 in the 2013 ESPN Tip-Off Marathon, it was announced today.

It marks the second straight season that the Owls and Golden Flashes will compete in ESPN's season-opening event. Temple won last year's contest, 80-66, in Kent, Ohio on November 13.

The Owls, under the direction of eighth year head coach Fran Dunphy, return eight players from the 2012-13 squad that posted a 24-10 record and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Junior starters Will Cummings and Anthony Lee lead the Cherry and White, which departs for a 10-day trip to Europe on August 14.

Season ticket deposits are currently being taken by the Temple Ticket Sales Office at 215-204-8499. Season tickets will officially go on sale later this month.
