ROME - The Temple men's basketball team spent the final two days of its first European Tour taking in the sights and culture of one of the continent's oldest and most historic cities.
The Owls took guided tours of the Coliseum, the Forum and the Ancient Ruins on Wednesday.
The team followed that Thursday with a guided tour of the Vatican, including the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica.
Temple coach Fran Dunphy then led his team to the campus of Temple Rome for a team shot.
Next was a walk to the Pantheon, a temple constructed to all of the gods of Ancient Rome. Then they took a visit to one of the most famous fountains in the world, the Trevi Fountain.
The squad then completed the day with a trip to the widest staircase in Europe, the Spanish Steps.
Temple returns to Philadelphia Friday, just in time for the start on the fall semester on August 26.
