Men's Basketball Alumni on Display at AND1 Summer Tourney

PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's basketball, alumni-style, will be display starting today at the Liacouras Center, with a team of former Owls competing in the AND1 Summer Remix Basketball Tournament.
Former Owls Mark Tyndale, Dionte Christmas, Mardy Collins, Michael Eric, Dustin Salisbery and Craig Williams are six of the eight players on Philly All City, one of 12 teams competing for a winner-take-all cash prize of $100,000. Philly All City plays its first game Thursday (Aug. 29) at 6:00 pm.
Wayne Marshall, who also played at Temple, will compete on be playing on Philly's Finest squad.
Celebrity coaches will be on-hand for the event, including former NBA All-Star Shawn Kemp, Indian Pacers Lance Stephenson, and Grammy Award-winner Jermaine Dupri. Prior to Sunday?s championship match-up, fans can also witness some of the world's best rim-rattlers in a dunk contest; the winner takes home $10,000 to purchase bionic calves.
A 12-team, single-elimination tournament, the Summer Remix begins on Thursday with four opening-round games and continues through Sunday's championship game. Each team is allowed eight players on its roster; games will be a mix of NBA and collegiate rules, with four 10-minute quarters, a 24-second shot clock, five personal fouls, tie-ups decided by a jump ball and an NCAA 3-point line.
Tickets for the first two days will be General Admission seating with lower level spots going for $25 for an all-day pass while it will cost $15 to sit in the upper level.

Friday, August 30 -- 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 31 -- 3 p.m., 5:30 p.m.
Session 4: Championship Game
Sunday, September 1 -- 4 p.m.
