Six Men's Tennis Players Active at Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – Six Temple men's tennis players will compete at the Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational this weekend, playing at the Lenz Tennis Center this Friday through Sunday.
Weather permitting, the matches will be played outdoors, but in the event of rain, will move to Jadwin Gymnasium. There will be six singles flights and two doubles flights.
This year marks the 45th year for the tournament, now named for accomplished Princeton tennis alumnus Ted Farnsworth.
In doubles action, Kristian Marquart and Hernan Vasconez pair up to take on FDU's Arnaud Valentin and Arvis Berzins at 8:30 a.m. in the Orange round of 32 on Friday. Santiago Canete and Nicolas Paulus received a bye in the opening round of the Black flight, and will face a duo from either Buffalo or Bucknell in their first match at 9:45 a.m. Hicham Belkssir and Sam Rundle also compete at the Black flight, squaring off against Sergio Arevallilia and Jonathan Hannestad of Buffalo at 8:30 a.m.
Marquart and Paulus will compete in the Pagoda singles flight with both players getting underway at 10:45 a.m. Marquart faces Jermery Court of Penn in the round of 16, while Paulus takes on Jonathan Carcione of the host team.
In the Cordish singles flight, Vasconez received a bye in the round of 16 and will take on either Valentin of FDU or Vaidlk Munshaw of St. John's at 1:30 p.m. Rundle faces Monmouth's Brant Switzler in the opening round of the Jadwin flight at 12:30 p.m., and Belkssir takes on James Ratchford of Yale at 1 p.m. in the Jersey flight round of 16.
