Dalton Pepper Named Under Armour Athlete of the Month

PHILADELPHIA - Senior guard Dalton Pepper has been named Temple University's Under Armour Athlete of the Month for the month of December.
The Levittown, Pa. native (Pennsbury High) averaged a team-best 19.0 points, while pulling down 6.5 rebounds per contest (2nd on squad) in the Owls' four games. He also averaged 3.8 assists, 1.5 steals, while shooting 30-of-53 from field (56.6%) and 13-of-27 (.488) from 3-point range.
Pepper had his first career double-double, with career highs of 26 points and 10 rebounds, in Temple's 101-65 win over LIU Brooklyn. In that game he made 10-of-12 shots from the field and 6-of-8 from 3-point range.
The Owls' lone senior also scored 20 points and had five assists in a one-point overtime loss to Texas (81-80) while playing a career-high 45 minutes in the December 7 game played at the Wells Fargo Center.
He had a near triple double (14 pts, 8 rebs, career-high 8 assists) in a 90-89 loss to Texas Southern at the Liacouras Center (12/18) and tied for team-high honors with 16 points in Big 5 win over St. Joe's (12/4).
Overall, he leads the team and ranks fourth in the American Athletic Conference in scoring (17.24 ppg.) while topping the team in three-pointers made (28-66, .424).
