Men's Crew Takes Part in Children's Foundation Regatta

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple men's crew team took part in the 2014 Philadelphia Childrens Foundation Regatta on the Schuylkill River on Saturday morning.
The Owls raced uncontested in the collegiate eight event, taking the top four spots. Temple's boats finished in predicted order with the "A" boat taking first in 9:53.53, the "B" boat finishing second in 11:28.87, the "C" boat clocking in third at 12:02.65, and the "D" boat finishing fourth in 15:19.22.
The "A" boat was coxed by Truman Levine and featured Conor Murphy as stroke, Gary Wielgus (seven seat), Brian Reifsnyder (six seat), Charles Anderson (five seat), Bryan Berry (four seat), Evan Hammond (three seat), Collin McKinney (two seat), and Ryan Dartnell in the bow.
Temple's "B" was made up of Julia Wolanski (coxswain), Thomas Robbins (stroke), Steve Lindeman (seven seat), Michael Pellegrini (six seat), Nik Dula (five seat), Matthew Minns (four seat), David Buckley (three seat), Nicholas Matousch (two seat), and Robert Byrne (bow).
The "C" boat for the Owls featured coxswain Sam Vecchione, and rowers Andrew Grochowski (stroke), Austin Theuret (seven seat), Andrew Collins (six seat), Reinier Smit (five seat), Jeffrey Brenner (four seat), Joseph Fairweather (three seat), Tyler Martin (two seat), and James Case (bow).
Temple men's crew continues its fall season in a week, competing at the Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday.
