Quenton DeCosey Named Big 5 Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Junior guard Quenton DeCosey has been named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for the week ending December 7. Â It is the first weekly honor of his collegiate career.
The Union, N.J. native led Owls in scoring in two Big 5 games this week, averaging 20.5 points while shooting 58% from field (11-19), 75% from 3pt range (6-8) and 87% from line (13-15). Â Against Saint Joseph's in a 58-56 road loss, he scored a game-high 22 points, connecting on seven-oof-11 shots from the field while grabbing five rebounds and dishing a team-best four assists.Â
DeCosey followed that with a game-high 19 points on four-of-eight shooting from the floor and a perfect three-of-three from behind the 3-point line in a 58-57 win over La Salle at The Palestra.
The preseason second team all-conference selection currently leads the Owls in scoring with a 14.1 average.
Temple (5-3) next hosts Towson (7-2) Wednesday night (8:00 p.m./ESPN3/1210 AM WPHT).
