Temple returns home to Philadelphia on Sunday, Feb. 9 for a rematch with Memphis. Tip-off is slated for 1:30 p.m. at the Liacouras Center. ESPNU will televise the game live. Jason Benetti will call the action, and Maria Taylor will provide analysis.

The Owls, under sixth-year head coach Tonya Cardoza, stand 11-11 overall and 5-6 in American Athletic Conference play after a 79-46 win at Houston on Feb. 4.

After 22 games, freshman Feyonda Fitzgerald (Norfolk, Va.) is the Owls' leading scorer with 12.9 points and 4.1 assists per game. Senior Natasha Thames (Port Huron, Mich.) follows with 11.2 ppg and a team-best 8.0 rpg. Junior Tyonna Williams (Fort Washington, Md.) adds 9.9 points and a Conference-best .882 shooting from the free throw line. Senior Shi-Heria Shipp (Salisbury, N.C.) adds 9.7 ppg and 6.6 rpg. Sophomore Erica Covile (Detroit, Mich.) averages 9.1 ppg and 5.7 rpg.  Â

The Tigers, under the guidance of sixth-year head coach Melissa McFerrin, stand 11-12 overall and 4-7 in American play after a 71-58 loss at USF on Feb. 5.

Sophomore guard Ariel Hearn is the only player averaging double figures with 17.2 ppg and 3.8 rpg. R-freshman guard Mooriah Rowser follows with 8.8 ppg and 2.6 rpg.Â

This is the just the second meeting between Temple and Memphis in women's basketball action. Temple holds a 1-0 advantage.

The teams met in their inaugural game of American Athletic Conference play on Dec. 29, 2013, with Temple winning 63-56 at Roane Fieldhouse.

Four Temple starters netted double figures, led by sophomore Erica Covile's 14 points. Williams followed with 13 points, while freshman Feyonda Fitzgerald added 11 points. Senior Shi-Heria Shipp had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, and senior Natasha Thames had nine points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Ariel Hearn led Memphis with 22 points. Taylor Williams added 12 points off the bench.

Overall, Temple out-rebounded Memphis, 43-34. The Owls shot 42 percent from the field (23-of-55), while the Tigers shot 35 percent (21-of-60).
