For the second consecutive game, Brown came off the bench to lead the Owls with season-high 17 points, including a season-high five three-point buckets.  Freshman Feyonda Fitzgerald (Norfolk, Va.) followed with 11 points and a game-high six assists.  Senior Natasha Thames (Port Huron, Mich.) added 10 points and eight rebounds.   Senior Shi-Heria Shipp (Salisbury, N.C.) grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.

"I'm just playing the role Coach gave me," Brown said.

Ariel Hearn paced Memphis with 11 points, while Taylor Williams added 10 points.

"Defensively we did a really good job of not giving them what they wanted." Cardoza said.
