American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship Available Via a Myriad of Media, Highlighted by ESPN Coverage

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The inaugural American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championships presented by Reese's Peanut Butter Cups tips-off at FedEx Forum in Memphis on Wednesday, March 12, offering fans a variety of options to watch and follow the tournament through the conference's media and marketing partners and www.TheAmerican.org.
The 2014 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship opens Wednesday with two opening round games beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. locally in Memphis. Thursday features quarterfinal games beginning with two afternoon games starting at 1:00 p.m. ET/Noon local and the evening games starting at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. local. Friday's semifinal games begin at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 local. Saturday's championship game begins at 6:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. local.
The American's Men's Basketball Championship will be available on television, radio, online, smartphones and tablets through the conference's partnerships with ESPN and IMG College.

ESPN: Complete coverage will be provided by the ESPN network as part of Championship Week. Wednesday's first game of the opening round will be live on ESPNU with the nightcap available on ESPN2. Thursday's four quarterfinals will all be televised on ESPNU. Friday's semifinal matchups will be on either ESPN or ESPN2, with Saturday's final on ESPN.
All games of the American Athletic Conference Championship will be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com and on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app.
Dave O'Brien will call the play-by-play, while Doris Burke provides analysis for the championship game, semifinals, Thursday night quarterfinals and Wednesday's second first round game. Wednesday's opening game and the Thursday afternoon quarterfinals will feature Mike Patrick and Tim Welsh on the call. Andy Katz will serve as reporter throughout the week.
IMG Audio: Live radio coverage of the championship will be provided by IMG College/Audio, which produces nearly 35,000 hours of radio programming on the largest independent sports radio network in the country serving 2,200 affiliates. Continual coverage of the inaugural American tournament in Memphis will include pre- and post-game shows, as well as audio coverage on www.TheAmerican.org. IMG Audio's coverage of the tournament will be called by Tony Castricone and Matt Chazanow.
SiriusXM: The satellite radio provider will provide satellite radio coverage via IMG Audio's national radio coverage of The American's Men's Basketball Championships with coverage available on Sirius channel 92 and XM channel 192.
TuneIn: Serving a large population of displaced sports fans unable to access live content, TuneIn is partnering with IMG College to provide free audio coverage of The American's Men's Basketball Championships featuring pre- and post-game shows. The live games can be accessed through TuneIn on more than 200 platforms, including smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles, and in automobiles across more than 230 countries and territories. The game broadcasts are available via the universities' official athletics web sites, the TuneIn Radio app, and TuneIn.com.
The American Digital Network: The American Athletic Conference will offer more than 40 hours of live online second-screen "Above the Rim" coverage of the conference's men's basketball championship that will be produced and transmitted by LiveU Sports for The American's Championship Central web page at www.TheAmerican.org/mbb. Coverage will include 45-minute live pre-game shows ahead of each one of the nine championship-round games, post-game press conferences, half-time shows, locker room interviews, and more, hosted by correspondent Tara Petrolino.
The American will also use LiveU technology to stream its Annual Awards Ceremony for Player of the Year and other honors. During the live games at the men's championship, which will air on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU, The American will the carry the game radiocasts from IMG College.
