CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Two second-place finishes highlighted the first day of the outdoor season for Temple women's track & field, as the Owls competed for the first of two days at the Carolina Relays.Â
Sophomore Jamila Janneh recorded a personal-best mark in the high jump of 1.65m to tie for second in the event.Â
The other second-place finish was by junior Margo Britton in the shot put with a throw of 14.70m on her final attempt. She also placed fourth in the discus (48.18m) and both results are ECAC-qualifying marks.
Freshman Bionca St. Fleur ran a personal-best time of 25.38 in the 200m to place 11th, and freshman Jimmia McCluskey placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.76m.
The action continues with a full slate of events on Saturday, including the women's 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
