BOSTON - On the final day of the ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, Temple junior Margo Britton took second place in the shot put with a throw of 16.53m (51-03.50). It was the second year in a row that Britton has earned second place in the event.Â
Her finish highlighted the three-day meet for the Owls, who also a third-place finish and a sixth-place finish. One of those was also Britton, who threw a personal-best 17.91m (58-09.25) in the weight throw to take sixth on Saturday.Â
Britton's11 total team points added to the six earned by junior Kiersten LaRoche, who took third place in the pentathlon on Friday.
Also in action on Sunday was freshman Jimmia McCluskey, who placed 12th in the long jump. She was one of only five freshmen to qualify for the event, and one of only two to compete.
As a team, Temple earned 17 points to place 18th among the 46 teams represented at the ECAC Championships.
