PHILADELPHIA - Senior guard Dalton Pepper has been selected to compete at the 2014 Portsmouth Invitational.  The Tournament will take place April 16-19, 2014. All games will be played at Churchland High School Sports Complex.

For the past 61 years the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament has invited 64 of the best college basketball seniors from across the nation to participate in the four-day, 12-game tournament in front of representatives from every NBA team.

The Temple guard will play on the Portsmouth Sports Club.  The team is comprised of Garrick Sherman (Notre Dame), Jerrelle Benimon (Towson), Justin Jackson (Cincinnati), Z. Mason (Tennessee-Chattanooga), Roberto Nelson (Oregon State), Langston Hall (Mercer) and Devon Saddler (Delaware).

Pepper, a native of Levittown, PA (Pennsbury HS), led the Owls in scoring at 17.5 points, three-pointers made (84) and percentage (.375) per game and minutes played (1171, 37.5 ppg.). He also ranked second in assists (74) and steals (32).

The Owls' lone senior was named second team all-Philadelphia Big 5 this season and made 61 of 70 attempts from the free throw line for an 87.1 percentage to lead all Big 5 Players.

The first Temple player to make a three-pointer in every game during a season also had the third best scoring improvement along all Division I players, increasing his average 14.6 ppg. from his junior to senior season.
