Ames, Iowa – With only one meet left for the Owls regular season, Temple women's gymnastics takes a long trip to Iowa State this weekend to compete in a dual meet on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Coming off a loss to Cornell with a team score of 188.875, the Owls look to finish out the regular season with a team high.

Remaining consistent last weekend was senior Alexis Arena, who placed first among all competitors on the beam with a score of 9.775. Arena now ranks second in the conference with a season RQS of 9.745 that also places her 21st in the region. Fellow beam worker Briana Odom also continued her success on the event with a 9.675.

The Owls floor team showed their strength once again, with three scores from Alexandra Forcucci, Michaela Lapent and Lauren Capone all hitting a 9.6 or above. Similarly, the vault team remained steady with Capone, Odom and Jasmine Johnson also posting vault marks of 9.6 or higher.

Putting together the previous successes of all four events throughout the regular season, the Owls look to end the regular season with a score that beats out their season high of 192.15.

The Iowa State Cyclones have had a very successful season, with a team average of 194.875 that ranks 28th among all Division 1 programs.
