Cornell Tops Women's Gymnastics in Conference Meet

ITHICA, N.Y. – Cornell topped Temple women's gymnastics on Saturday afternoon in a dual meet between the two ECAC schools at Teagle Hall. The Big Red won the meet with a team score of 192.125 while the Owls finished with team score of 188.875.
Temple started the meet on bars and got a team score of 45.725. Alexis Arena had the top score for the Owls with a season-high 9.55. Victoria Reggiani's routine earned her a 9.475.
The Owls then moved on to vault and got a 47.925. Lauren Capone went last on the event and had the best score for Temple with a 9.7. Jasmine Johnson was right behind her with a 9.675. Briana Odom got a 9.6, and Arena garnered a 9.5.
The team score was bumped up to 141.575 after Temple got a team score of 47.925 on floor. Alexandra Forcucci opened the event and had the highest score on the team with a 9.7. Michaela Lapent was right behind her with a 9.675 respectively. Capone's routine got her a 9.6, and Kerry Arone and Johnson rounded up the five scores that counted on the event with both earning a 9.475.
Temple ended the meet with a team score of 47.3 on beam. Arena had the best score of the two squads with a 9.775. Odom went right before her and earned a 9.675.
Temple ends the regular season with a dual meet at Iowa State next Friday at 6:30 p.m.
