Jenna Dubrow Breaks Her Own 10,000 Meter School Record on Day One of the Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - On the first day of competition at the Penn Relays, senior Jenna Dubrow broke her own school record in the 10,000m run with a time of 35:21.46. Dubrow placed eighth overall in the event, outpacing her previous school record of 35:39.02 which she set at last year's ECAC Championships.
Another top-ten finish was earned for the Owls by sophomore Jimmia McCluskey, who placed eighth in the College Women's Long Jump out of a field of 53 performers with a mark of 5.62m. In the same event, Bionca St. Fleur finished 35th (5.30m) and Kiersten LaRoche placed 48th (5.07m).
In the 400m hurdles, freshman Attallah Goodman recorded a personal-best time of 1:04.57, placing 46th. Senior Kaitlyn McSurdy finished 52nd in a time of 1:05.34 in the same event.Â
In the women's 4x100m relay, Temple's team of McCluskey, St. Fleur, Courtney Mitchell and Demeshia Davis placed 36th with a time of 47.91 seconds.
The Owls also competed in the 4x400m relay, and the team of Hollis Coleman, Kenya Gaston, LaRoche and Davis finished 34th in the heats with a time of 3:53.88. Their time was good enough to advance Temple to the ECAC final in that event, set for 5:45 p.m on Saturday.
The events continue on Friday morning for the Owls in the triple jump. The remaining schedule is as follows:
