4.9.15 | Men's Basketball
PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Temple senior guard Will Cummings will take the floor tonight at the 2015 Porstmouth Invitational when his team, the Portsmouth Partnership, plays K&D Rounds Landscaping at 9:00 pm at Churchland High School.
This is the 63rd year of the Portsmouth Invitiational, a tournament that has showcased 64 of the best college basketball seniors from across the country. The P.I.T. is a four-day, 12-game tournament that provides the players to display their talents in front of scouts from every NBA team.
Cummings is one of eight players on the Portsmouth Partnership. He is joined on the team by Stefan Nastic (Stanford), Michael Cobbins (Oklahoma State), Richaun Holmes (Bowling Green), Dustin Hogue (Iowa State), Pat Connaughton (Notre Dame), KT Harrell (Auburn) and Julius Brown (Toledo).
If Portsmouth Partnership wins its game, it will advance to the semifinals to take on the winner of Roger Brown's Restaurant vs. Sales Systems, Ltd. (7:00 pm Thursday) on Friday at 9:00 pm. A loss would put Portsmouth Partnership in the consolation bracket with that game taking place Friday afternoon (3:15 pm).
The Championship game is set for Saturday night (8:00 pm).
