Kaitlyn McSurdy Qualifies for the 400 Meter Hurdles Final on Day Two of American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships

STORRS, Conn. - On the second day of the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships, Temple track and field saw athletes compete in two events. In the 400m hurdles trials, senior Kaitlyn McSurdy's eighth-place finish time of 1:03.12 was a personal best and qualified her to advance to the finals in that event being held on Sunday, May 17.
Sophomore Bionca St. Fleur placed 14th in the 200m dash trials with a time of 24.47 seconds.Â
Two days of competition remain for the Owls at the championships which are being held at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex on the campus of the University of Connecticut. Temple will be back in action tomorrow morning at 11:00 a.m. in the long jump trials.Â
