PHILADELPHIA – Former Temple University men's basketball standouts Will Cummings, Jesse Morgan and Micheal Eric will be competing in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League which gets underway Friday, July 10.

Cummings, who will be playing with the Houston Rockets summer team, led the Owls in scoring (14.8 ppg), assists (4.2 apg) and steals (1.9 spg), ended his career with 1,245 points (35th all-time at TU), 357 assists and 159 steals.  He also finished tied second with Hal Lear (1955-56) on Temple's single season list for free throws made with 189, 15 behind former teammate Khalif Wyatt's record 204 set during the 2012-13 season.

The 6-2 guard was a first team All-American Athletic Conference and all-Philadelphia Big 5 selection, and was instrumental in leading Temple to the nation's best turnaround. The Owls (26-11) finished their season with 17 more wins than the previous season (9-22). UC Davis had the second best turnaround at +16 wins.

The Jacksonville, Fla. native also was honored as Temple's co-Male Student-Athlete of the Year, sharing the honor with honorable mention All-American Brandon Matthews.

Morgan, who is playing with the Utah Jazz this summer, averaged 11.9 points per game during the 2014-15 season while knocking down a team-high 68 three-pointers.  The Philadelphia native became eligible in December after transferring from the University of Massachusetts where he played part of three seasons.

Eric, who last played for Temple during the 2011-12 campaign, is on the Milwaukee Bucks summer roster.  The Lagos, Nigeria native played in 101 career games (68 starts) for the Owls, averaging 6.0 points on .503 shooting, 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 16.9 minutes per game. As a senior in 2011-12, he played in 19 games (15 starts) and averaged 9.0 points on .521 shooting while leading the team in rebounds (8.8) and blocks (2.1) in 25.1 minutes per game

The 6-11 forward/center most recently played for Enel Brindisi of the Italian Professional League (Lega Basket Serie A), but has also competed in the NBA's Developmental League.

The Las Vegas Summer League runs through July 20 with games available to watch online (click here).
