Temple-Villanova Men's Basketball Game to be Televised on ESPN2

PHILADELPHIA - One of the biggest rivalries in the Philadelphia Big 5, Temple versus Villanova, will be showcased on ESPN2 as part of "Rivalry Week." Â The Owls and Wildcats will square off at the Liacouras Center on Wednesday, February 17th at 7:00 p.m.Â
Villanova leads the series, 46-43, which is the closest won-loss mark among Big 5 opponents. The Wildcats have the most Big 5 wins (133) among the five schools with the Owls (128) ranking second. Â Temple has won outright or shared a city-series best 25 Big 5 titles with Villanova's 23 titles placing second.
The Owls have won two of the last three meetings in the series held at the Liacouras Center, including a 75-65 upset of the #3/3 Wildcats on December 13, 2009.
