PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Temple men's basketball earned both of the American Athletic Conference weekly awards on Nov. 28, with junior Obi Enechionyia being selected as the American's Player of the Week for the first time in his career, and freshman Quinton Rose being named the American's Rookie of the Week for a second time this season.

The pair led the Owls (4-2) to the NIT Season Tip-Off title with back-to-back wins over nationally ranked teams. Temple came from behind to defeat No. 25/RV Florida State 89-86 on Nov. 24, and the next day the Owls took down No. 19/17 West Virginia 81-77.

Enechionyia was named Tournament MVP after averaging 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5.5 blocks in the Owls' two wins. He shot 15-of-26 from the field (.577) and 7-of-10 from three-point range. Enechionyia also blocked a career-high six shots vs. No. 25 Florida State, and played 78 of possible 80 minutes over the two games.

Rose also averaged 19 points per game, scoring a career- and game-high 26 points in the Florida State victory. He hit 16-of-19 free throws for the week (.842), coming off the bench in both games but averaging 29 minutes played.
