PHILADELPHIA - Temple men's basketball junior Obi Enechionyia has been named the NCAA.com and Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 27. These honors are in addition to the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week honor announced earlier.

The Owl forward led Temple (4-2) to the NIT Season Tip-Off title with back-to-back wins over nationally ranked teams. Temple came from behind to defeat No. 25/RV Florida State 89-86 on Nov. 24, and the next day the Owls took down No. 19/17 West Virginia 81-77.

Enechionyia was named Tournament MVP after averaging 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5.5 blocks in the Owls' two wins. He shot 15-of-26 from the field (.577) and 7-of-10 from three-point range. Enechionyia also blocked a career-high six shots vs. No. 25 Florida State, and played 78 of possible 80 minutes over the two games.
